I went to Taiwan for winter break on November 20th and just got back on December 13. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have had in years especially since I have learned how to appreciate my country of origin. It is like discovering the roots of a young tree and finding that it goes deeper than expected. For example, I met members of my family that I had no knowledge of such as my great grand mother or my great uncle. It was even more of a surprise that my great uncle is a martial artist, perhaps that's where I got my interest from.
All the while, I explored the culture and heritage of Taiwan. I love the traditional food sold in the night markets and climbing the mountains at Yang Ming Shan. I also got to make traditional carved stamps from terra cotta clay at my dad's friend's pottery studio.

Now that I am back from the vacation, I have several things on my mind. first of all, I want to get a new computer to run my photoshop projects. second, I want to polish off my rough drawings I had done during my trip in taiwan. Being away from the computer for 4 weeks allowed me to complete more works than I could have ever expected.
